A small light freighter takes berth at docking bay 25-02, close to the main entrance. When the hatch comes open, Adieumus Matango makes his way out, and into the main complex.
Once docking was done and she paid to top off her fuel she disembarked her ship making sure it was locked up tight and made her way to find Adi who was most likely in the main complex already.
All Knowledge is valuable, you just need to know who to offer it to.
Lucky for Kirwin the hanger that he had been assigned was the very same one as the ships he had been following. As he finished his docking sequence he saw a female walk through the hanger access door. “Most likely leads to the main complex.” Thought Kirwin as he got out of the pilot chair and walk to the boarding ramp. He had lost track of Geir, as he had been piloting the entire time and called out to him, “Geir, we made it to Honoghr. Don’t know where you are or if you knew that already, but I’m heading into the main complex. I saw a woman land and enter the complex, just gonna follow her.” And headed for the hanger access door toward the main complex, and the woman he was following.
There was a familiar feeling with this world for Geir. Perhaps it was simply the fact that he recognizes a few of the Force signatures of those who occupied facility. Most notably, the aura of the former Jedi Knight, Adieumus Matango - more commonly referred to as simply Adi - was recognizable here. That was no surprise. Honoghr was the world that Adi referred to as home these days and should anyone ever have the need or desire to go and seek him out, this place would always be a good place to start. However, though the auras he felt here brought some to joy to his heart, Geir couldn't help but embrace the pain that even Honoghr languished in. Indeed . . . Honoghr had not been spared from the terrible sickness that had taken the galaxy so.
Reaching out through the Force, Geir located Adi and in turn began to push for a conversation with him - one conducted simply through the Force. <<The sickness that tore through the galaxy so suddenly, still lingers and infects more. It's true, even my apprentice fell to this illness.>> Geir paused a moment as he gathered his next words to speak to former Jedi. It wouldn't be difficult for Adi to take notice of the fact that Kotyr's body had been brought along and not left behind. <<I trust the doctors and scientists at Red Dawn have been hard at work on developing a cure for I feel this blight is not ended yet. I will help in any capacity that I am able.>>
By the time Geir had finished with his message for Adi, Kirwin's voice came booming through the shuttle, announcing his intent to follow a woman into the main complex here. It was nice thing for the young man to do and it bright a small smile to Geir's face. He didn't give a reply, but instead simply stepped forth from the room he'd been meditating in for the duration of the trip here. He was behind Kirwin and followed Kirwin as they both left this vessel named the "Silent Angel."
Running through the halls Kirwin didn’t bother keeping his hood up, instead letting it flail behind him. At the pace he was going he quickly made it back to the hangar bay with ease. There were of course more ships that had landed since he and Geir had landed, but he still knew where the Silent Angel was parked. Quickly making his way to and up her boarding ramp Kirwin opened the door to his quarters, where he found what he was looking for: the eight lightsabers that had lain dormant since before he found them. With his recently learned knowledge of the plague, and that it could possibly infect midichlorians and lightsaber crystals, Kirwin was positive that one of these hilts had to still have a trace of the infection.
Kirwin carefully picked up the lightsaber hilts one by one and attached them to his belt underneath his cloak. Once he had picked up the last one Kirwin exited his quarters and closed the door once more, then turned and made his way off the Silent Angel. He then retraced his steps back to the Main Lab at a normal walking pace, as he walked he corrected his hood by returning it to its resting place on his head.
Bismarck sent a com to the bacta room, and had the tanks prepped. Adi followed Drez out, curious as to what the man had in store. Pressing a few buttons on the datapad he had on his wrist, he dispatched a droid team to unload the cargo....
...Whatever it was, it had to be better than what was currently available.
As they walked, Adi started to think...How could they realistically assemble enough equipment to make some semblance of a decent defense? The factories here on-planet were dreadfully understaffed, if they even -had- anyone at all. There would be little, if any, capability for quick turnaround to replace the gear and vehicles lost.
Then it hit him....
They had the facilities to -repair- damaged equipment...the teams available had already gotten what little in the way of hardware was left to operational levels....what about scavenging stuff on Raxus Prime?? Turning to Drez as they reached the hangar, Adi grinned.
"If I could get you some manpower, think you could have some of your guys go to Raxus Prime and scrounge up some gear? We have several transports available here at the RDMC, and I could send them with the away squad. We have repair facilities here that could do a quick turnaround if they would find anything useful."
Drez listened to Adi's proposition, and it gave him a brilliant idea. During the Clone Wars, Separatist battle scraps and junk would be dumped on backwater planets and uninhabitable worlds like Raxus Prime. If the RDMC had the equipment to repair the damage or disabled Separatist droids, it would significantly enhance the facility's defence against any hostile forces.
"Well, back during the Clone Wars, all battle scraps were dumped on worlds like Raxus Prime." Drez started explaining. "If we could find and ship over protodekas and droidekas and repair them, you'll have at least a decent chance of repelling the enemy. Those droids were devastating to our troopers back in the day."
The duo arrived at the hangar door shortly after and Drez pushed the button on the panel of to the side, opening the door instantly. He quickly headed down the short stairwell in the hangar and proceeded to head towards the shuttle. As he approached the shuttle's rear ramp, he turned to Adi. "You'll definitely like what you'll see here." He said with a wink invisible beyond the helmet's visor.
The shuttle's rear ramp slowly lowered before Drez climbed up into the cargo hold. The lights soon flickered on after a few buttons on the wall's panel were pushed. The lights revealed a couple dozen BX Commando droids deactivated in a seated, folded position in the far corner, each one still holding an E-5 blaster and had a vibrosword attached to their backs.
The droids were self-explanatory, however, Drez was busy pulling out carbonite slabs out of a secret compartment, each one revealed to contain a clone trooper still in carvon-freezing. "Did you get those bacta tanks ready as I asked?"
*The YT-1930 transport lands within minutes of the transmission. The metal landing gear strains and hisses with a loud thud, as the landing ramp is lowered. The Wookiee makes his way down the ramp into the bay and has to duck his head to avoid hitting it on the metal above. As he reaches the end of the ramp he stands there and looks around. He was big, even by wookiee standards. He was 7'3" and 3 feet wide at the shoulders and a solid 420 pounds of lean muscle and predatory instinct. Had it not been for his Norris root Jedi robes, he would be intimidating for anything short of a Mandalorian. It had been a few decades since had come across the Matango's. He wasn't even sure he would recognize Adi. The last time they saw one another was when Adi was a youngling.*
*The Jedi Shadow straightens himself up and adjusts his curved wooden lightsaber on his belt. The wood itself was made from Brylark. A rare wood that was strong enough to withstand a lightsaber blade. He sniffs the air. The hangar had it's typical metallic smell, but the Jedi could smell the lingering death. He heard that an anti-plague was being developed here, but it seemed the devastation reached this place as well. The Wookiee let's out a snarl of disdain that, even if you didn't understand Shyriiwook, you understood what the Wookiee was feeling.*
Adi let out a low whistle as he saw the gear being rolled out by the droids. Nodding with approval, he answered affirmatively.
"Bismarck had the prep begun as soon as we exited the lab. They should be ready now, to be honest."
As he finished speaking, a wookiee approached the two of them. Matango wasn't sure, but he narrowed his eyes...Was it? If it was who he thought it was, Adieumus hadn't seen him since...
....since before the Arkanian Cleansing....
To be safe, Adieumus just acted inquisitive.
"Greetings!! What brings you to the RDMC, friend?"
Adi was almost positive he knew who the wookiee was, but that -was- a very long time ago....almost forty years now. Matango had been known as another name then, Tidus Adasca, but the time had not erased -all- of his memories.
*The Wookiee Master makes his toward the two men having a conversation. As he approaches, he starts to slow down, he sees Adi looking at him. Like Adi had seen the Jedi Shadow before. A feeling of mutual familiarity. The sensation washes over him quickly, The Wookiee Master was here to find out if a cure for the plague was here. It had been a long time, truth be told. Too long.*
*Kitkazza waits politely for the two men to finish their conversation. He speaks Basic in Shyriiwook so they can understand him. Not many understand the differences between growls and snarls of the Wookiee people.*
*When Kitkazza walks up to them gives the both a respectful bow.*
"Forgive the intrusion friends. My name is Master Jedi Kitkazza. I am here looking Master Adieumus Matango. I was told I could meet him here."
‘i swore my force speed times weren’t that good… meh, must be improving.’
with a simple coded app, doors ‘randomly’ flung open across the station. and with a speed exceeding all known records I ran back up the entire complex to the conference room where i slowed slightly to grab my sabers before i dashed back down to the hangar bay. skidding to a stop just in front of a row of unique fighter craft. okay. and Matango is still in the hangar bay, be cause of COURSE he is.
Taking the Scenic route, i evaluated each ship, trying to find one that could serve the purpose was a vaguely correlian ship by the riggings. after trying to avoid Master matango’s notice as i grabbed various medkits and rations, i was finally ready to board the ship. The data chip went into a port in central computer as i studied the ship’s schematics while sending a texted message to Loki
::I am in the MC-4x. just look for the one that looks like someone tried to make a Correlian ship with spare parts::
"They better be ready, or these clones might not survive." Drez warned Adi, referring to Adi's claim that the bacta tanks were ready.
"Unload these carbonite slabs and take them to the med bay. There, the doctors will take them from you." Drez ordered the RDMC droids that had come to help.
"Roger, Roger." A droid replied in it's metallic voice, before relaying a signal to the rest of the droids of what their task was.
The Wookie had apologized for interrupting, but Drez wasn't bothered. "Nah, it's okay. We're used to this." He said.
Loki entered the hanger and ran for the MC-4x, it did indeed look like a freighter made from spare parts. He ran past it and up the ramp of the wayward son, Raxxie turned as he barged into her ship, grumbling about him as he ran to his berth and grabbed his satchel, he needed the datapad contained within to get into his labs and to get past the blast doors he had installed before the crystals began in the caves. He ran down the ramp and back to the other ship and up its ramp, he made his way to the cockpit not deciding where he would sit.
