He was still very young and naive about the galaxy when disaster stuck home. Slight news had spread to the small community of the horrors of this "plague" that had been started. But much mind wasn't spent fussing over it as the many believed that it would not reach them in their vastly underpopulated community. What would such atrocities get from coming this far out into the plains. One night far off screams awoke Caed and his family in the middle of the night, his father grabbing a hold dusty blaster he wondered off to find out what had happened. Caed couldn't keep his curiosity from causing him to follow his father out that night, and that night would for ever twist him. Before Caed caught up to his father, he heard the sound of several blaster bolts being fired, and the a deeply frightful silence. His eyes wandered about, his muscles tensed. His own subconscious scream for him to run, that this had all be a very bad idea from the beginning. Caed couldn't except this, he wanted to know his father was alright, so as he continued forward he saw distant light on the edge of the forest maybe three quarters of a mile from their community. As he approached a man laid face first in the ground smoke still rising from his back, not a few feet away a women laid there bleeding from her shoulder just under her neck. Caed watched in horror has his father spoke with three other men, walked over to the women, and raised his blaster putting three blast into her chest and skull. He cried out stop, as he watched causing them all to turn to face him. His father running to him, pulling him close and telling him he was sorry he had seen that.
Weeks had gone by since then, the two bodies burned as it was their custom to burn their dead so that their souls could fly freely into the stars. Caed still dreamed of the seen every night, waking in cold sweats. One day a lone man came from the sky in a ship, he claimed to be a here to see if the infection had made it thus far and after talking with a few people he decided to stay for a few days to see if any more would show. During this time Caed seem to drawn towards him, watching him from behind carts, and buildings. Everyone once in awhile the man would quickly glance him and give a half smirk. Or Something would suddenly fall on Caed, as he tried to spy on what the man did. Caed would soon come to know this man as Dugan Celtari, and a fan of his great stories of travels. His father called to him one day from their living room, and as Caeden came to see what was up, he saw Dugan sitting there with his father. Apparently Dugan had come to sense a strong force build up in him, one that Dugan thought he could pull upon and bring Caeden into what he thought might be a better life for him. HIs father sad to see his son leave him, was happy to know that he would be with people that could better protect him and so said his goodbyes and allowing Dugan to take Caed off-world and teach him the way of the Jedi. Though there was one promise Dugan had to make, upon hearing about the training and how their ranks were. Dugan was made to swear to bring Caed back before he was Knighted, if it was safe.
Several years passed and when time came close for knighting word had reached Dugan's that Caedans home had been destroyed because of the virus. Unhappy to hear the news, Caedan swore to find a way to prevent anything like this from happening. He left shortly after his knighting, using the gifts Dugan had taught him he found an old Sith who was still dabbling in what he thought was rumored Sith alchemy. Tell the old sith he hated the jedi for their failure in protecting his people, he wanted vengeance on them. Still being able to sense the hanger Caedan held close over what happened, he agreed to teach him. During this time, Caedan seem to lose himself towards the darkness but their was a truth he started to realize. The Jedi hated the Sith because of their path through the force and how they used it, the Sith hated and feared everyone. It soon became apparent that what the galaxy need most was the to be brought back to balance. The dark couldn't survive without the light to cloud, and the light needed something to Illuminate. Caedan wanted to take this task, and one night while the slept Caedan took the Old sith's saber and plunged it into the middle of his skull. He left the sith's home, and looked towards the sky, his thoughts drifting towards a single person.
"The balance must be kept, The scales must be righted."
