Kway Teow was the capital city on the tropical world of Felucia, during the era of the Clone Wars. During that conflict, Commerce Guild Presidente Shu Mai maintained a secure compound just outside the city borders. Upon arrival on Felucia, Shu Mai landed at an executive landing platform in Kway Teow, from which it was a short speeder ride to her fortified compound.
*Sinina had wandered off, the city was beautiful, almost as much so as it had been when the crew had been on Naboo, a home of hers. She hadn't been there now in what felt such a long time. But as beautiful as the city was, she felt as though she were being called out to the area beyond. She had ventured far enough out she could no longer hear the sounds of the city, she kicked off her shoes, taking small steps away from the discarded items. The feel of the dirt between her toes soothing, relaxing. She let the force stretch out, tendrilling along listening to the strange trees. It ha felt like eons since she felt such....feelings from the wilderness. Her mothers teachings echoing in her head, and it felt like she were back home on Dathomir, and everything felt so alive with energy and buzz.
She sat gently in a small clearing, letting herself get lost in it all, but then after a few moments, her eyes fly open. Her head turns about. Now /that/ was something she hadn't sensed in a long time. In a blur she was on her feet, She had to be. She let herself get to into the feelings of the trees, she missed what was moving through the trees. It felt different then she remembered, but being on a different planet, of course it would. She backed up slowly, being quiet as she could. Her steps retreating from the sounds she now focused on. She could now see it clearly, and it her. The Rancor even looked different then from back at home. But it was clearly so. She admired its size, but the jungle was not about to be so peaceful now.
In a flash the young gir--, she was no longer the girl she was on Naboo, she had grown, evolved into a young woman, but her movements had to be quick, where she had stood, a large rock now took her place, up into the tree she went, but her movements didn't stop there. She had jumped to the next tree. But this time dropped out of it as her motion brought her within slashing distance of the creature. The branch was now gone, and she ducked beneath the arm of the creature, drawing upon the force to jump up again, rebounding off of the tree behind, and up again, landing deftly upon the Rancor's back.
Now this the beast really didn't approve of. Not yet. She whispers soothingly, words of her mother. But a quick dodge to the right as a large clawed hand slashed for her. Her fire dancing coming in useful, the force and her dancers grace had been sharpened in the last while. Again she bounded to the opposite shoulder of it to dodge the next attack. Her whispers never stopping or slowing, her direction of the force The thrashing of the animal slowed and cease as her words came to a stop. She muttered to herself, not near as good as her sister would have done, but she wasn't needing to dodge anymore.
She grabbed a bit of her rope, quickly making the tool she would need next. It wasn't difficult at this point to use the lasso to catch the tusks of the beast, and like the witches of Dathomir, she went for a ride upon the creature. It was exhilarating, and she loved every second. Though she should probably go back, much as she was enjoying herself. She was supposed to be meeting up with Raven.....somewhere... She sighed, and with a quick motion, released the creature. "Oya" She called as she let it take off into the jungle. She herself turned, having to take a short time to remember where she'd forgotten her shoes. But started towards the city once more. Raven would likely be waiting, if not looking for her.....again.... Oops.*
Dash's shuttle touched down in one of the open spaces of the port and he smiled, the city and planet was full of life, and none of it the enraged angry violent life of the plague victims. Safety. Now to find a one Raven Alora and any others of his brothers friends but first he had to get the survivors of Honoghr somewhere safe, as the ramp lowered he lead them down and met with a few of the locals after speaking to them and nodding and an exchange of credits, they agreed to take the survivors on and lead them to their new home. Dash bowed to the men, swept up his robes and began walking in what seemed to the others an aimless direction. Some of them called goodbyes to the dark haired tall savior who was walking away with a bemused smile on his face and whistling an odd tune.
I am nothing but Shadow against Shadow, for that is my path and my way.
Was it bringing her cousin to a backwater world? Following the Force to a world so clouded even she could not discern it's guidance? As she pressed her mind beyond the quandary, delving deeper into her own understanding of the Force, the draw once again pressed against her mind. A draw she had felt before she and Katria's departure from Dantooine; towards an anchor she could not know identity.
The plague had been no mystery to she and her cousin, it's very nature and cause as it swept across the galaxy. It was the survivors and their heroes that cluttered her mind with their very nature. Who were they? How had they survived? Where had they gone? As she walked the streets of Kway Teow, amidst the massive fungal columns and various habitation structures, she knew that perhaps one of those beings had found their way to this world.
She was familiar with the oblivion that was trusting in the Force for a distinct answer. The endless pool that was the Force was not one to provide absolute details or answers absent the need to be scrutinized. Even still she allowed it to guide her, with what little it wished to provide, and had followed it to the world of Felucia without more than a notion and an inkling. Her cousin would never understand, but essence had made itself sound in the Force and she would find it.
For the slightest of moments, the Force going silent, the young woman passed by a rather large and robed figure. A figure she felt drawn to watch, turning herself to follow his path as he carried his presence almost aimlessly. The Force spoke no more, save for whispers from all directions adrift about the being she had brought her focus down upon. With the slightest tap of her mind into the Force that she knew constantly flowed through her, she reached.
Dash strolled along his seemingly aimless path when something brushed his mind. ::Who Are You:: The being asked through the force. Dash stopped walking, the presence was extremely close. What was more if the presence probed more into Dash's aura, she would notice a burning white core, stretching from a tendril that seemed to be attached to his own aura, like a blinding sun that lead to a great power. "Who am I?" He asked not turning around but knowing others where behind him. "That is a good question, and the simplest answer is I am me." He said cryptically and finally turned around revealing violet eyes in a hard yet soft Zabraki face, how he looked both hard as stone and as soft any good natured human gaffer would most likely baffle the girl that stood behind him. His hair cascaded around his shoulders shot with silver streaks and strangely he bore not Zabrak tribal tattoos, but Kiffar tribal scars of tribe Vos across his nose and face, where his brother had been a dark crimson color, his skin was a lightish brown yellow color, though not sickly. "My name is Dash, or Master Vos if you prefer, or Grand Master Vos, Jedi Shadow, The Guardian of Dantooine." He said smiling, his teeth where nearly perfect though fanged, like most Zabraks. "Another good question..." He paused and then he spoke back through the force. <<Who are you?>> He said now poking back but only lightly.
I am nothing but Shadow against Shadow, for that is my path and my way.
It wasn't until the large zabrak turned, his words rolling off his tongue in a manner she had not expected, that the young spacer fully grasped his aura. As though her were a beacon in an indecipherable murk the being before her held an energy even she had to briefly contemplate before fully immersing herself. It was when he finally brushed her mind back that she fully had come to grasp the entire gravity of the situation, her body recoiling minutely before she leveled her gaze to his own; scaling up to his entire height.
"Grand Master Vos," she mused as she let the syllables dance in the air. She had heard stories of the shadows, tales of the endeavors of those who chose the life of invisibility over the public light. Her master had spoken highly of their aspirations, but poorly of their methods, she herself having been one of those adverse to act of subterfuge. "You are a long way from the home of your order and charge."
Endor, as she knew it, was the planet that came to mind. Then the planet he had mentioned in a passing breath amidst his divulged caricature. All at once it had struck her as to why they had taken a stop at Dantooine on their journey to Felucia and all in that same instance did she realize just who the Force had drawn her to. Her eyes lighting up for but a moment, then dulling into their usual passive hue, she took in a breath and composed herself.
"My name is Dinah Vekarr, daughter of Tyria Vekarr and grand daughter of Shaden Vekarr. The Force led me here," she breathed, not sure how he would take what she was about to say. "It led me to you."
Dash smiled again. "Did it?" He wondered if he had ever met any of the people she mentioned, though he doubted it. "The Living Force often works in mysterious ways, for one, you recently left Dantooine." He said with a knowing grin. He saw a bench and decided now would be a good time to sit. His violet eyes never leaving this girl. "You mentioned another, yet I only see you." He flared his robes out dramatically as he sat down, revealing despite his seemingly pacifist movements the golden hilt of a light saber belted securely to the inside of his robes. Dash could feel the raging core inside him as a constant ebb and flow of power, resonating with all the energies of the galaxy, at this time those same energies where in turmoil, the source? The rift above Honoghr, a tear in space time, the Force was angry, fate was enraged how dare The Order of Ruin do this it seemed to say, it was a perversion of nature itself. Dash finally tore his mind away from the energies swirling in the galaxy and moved them to a dormant part of his mind. "Why do you think the force brought you to me? I'm nothing special, just an old warrior put out to pasture." His smile turning to a small frown, his memories surfaced, a battle above Endor, the last true battle he had partaken in, a battle that nearly cost him his life, that was until he awoke inside the Crystal Caverns of Dantooine, healed and alive. How strange that had been, and until recently he had not left the planet, living in a small hut underneath a wizened old tree in sight of his own Enclave now gone to ruin, like a stranger he met there so many years ago.
I am nothing but Shadow against Shadow, for that is my path and my way.
She had always known the Force to be the one to indulge the deepest of mysteries. It never lead her astray, rarely had she found further confusion in her desires to follow it's pull. As the zabrak put himself down as a simple, uninteresting individual she knew that it was nothing more than what could be perceived as a deterrent.
But from what truth?
She'd watched him sit, heard his insight into her own journey thus far and noted the burning aura within him. Nothing about him was characteristic of a simple bystander; a nobody to be passed by in the search for something far greater. Closing her eyes for but a moment she allowed herself to center on the thoughts that his words planted in the corners of her mind. If he wished to be treated as such, than why did he carry himself in a manner so different?
"Perhaps my intent was to make known my family in light of our mutual grasp of the Force," she breathed as she let her mind drift briefly over thoughts of family. "I speak of those I've lost but came before me, but I am not alone if that is what you're suggesting."
He may not have been, or perhaps he was not intending to, but she could not be certain with his insight into far more than he let on. Katria was still back where she had left her, but there was little purchase in knowing that one could not see beyond their eyes when they possessed access to the living Force. To be blinded by the pitch dark or blinding light of the Force was the only means she knew to mask the greatest truths.
"You claim you are nothing special, but the Force is never wrong in it's designations or deliverance. You have a purpose, a meaning, and perhaps that is what it intends for me to discover."
Dash seemed to ponder what she said, mulling it over before speaking. "Youngling." He said with another smile. "Purpose is subjective, it flows, from one time to another it changes tune to the comings and goings of the galaxy." Dash smiled again, then his eyes went a bit glassy and he began to speak though it sounded distant. "I am not being obstinate, I...Now don't gang up on me." He chuckled as he seemed to listen to someone else, and to Dinah it would seem he was talking to himself. "Now, now, that... Right, yes, no? I didn't think of that." He said and looked at Dinah again. She could be what he was looking for, with the current state of the galaxy they, those that is to say those opposed to the Order of ruin had recently lost some of their most powerful numbers to a giant rip in space. "Very well, Masters I need not remind you that this is two debts in my favor." his glassy eyes refocused and he smiled once more and pretended like he hadn't just spent two minutes talking like a crazy person."The force does indeed work in mysterious ways, now I am going to ask you two questions, take your time to answer them, for they are quite the thought provoking type. What is your purpose? And what do you think is mine?" He said the smile never leaving his face.
I am nothing but Shadow against Shadow, for that is my path and my way.
When he spoke the word, such as she'd not heard in decades, she could not but hold the slightest of breaths until his voice silenced. Only then did she exhale and collect her thoughts, once again bringing her thoughts back to a composed and impassioned peace. He was correct, in his own way, and with his words came her own thoughts contemplative to the notion of subjective definition. His choice of honorary for her had been in err, perhaps given his age, but it was not those words that held continual resonance.
"Whether or not you were obstinate, or detached or disillusioned, are not the concern of the Force in this moment," she breathed with a small shake of her head, not bringing her eyes up to meet his for even a moment. As he spoke, finally bringing forth his question that she knew would ultimately have dogged those far less resilient than herself. She felt a part of her quiver at the very idea of being questioned about her purpose, shaken by the idea that perhaps even she knew not what it was. Only when she lifted her eyes to meet his did she finally resolve the know the answer she wished to deliver.
"My purpose is my own. However," she paused and turned to look towards the skies above the fungus covered planet's surface.
"If one must know my purpose than one would be best left with this." She trailed off as she stepped forward and began to eye the skies alone for what felt like minutes to those passing by. However, she allowed the Zabrak to see something in her mind that only she had seen for as long as she could remember.
First, the image of her grandfather as he discussed his life as a smuggler to the woman she never knew as her grandmother. Second, of the woman she knew as her mother. A woman bound for the stars but destined to die passing her legacy on to one far more talented than herself. And finally to her master, a woman shrouded in her image of her but glowing within the Force that she drew the essence to transfer such images with. Only when the images all blurred into one, folding perfectly upon her small but vibrant brunette haired form, did she turn back and look at the Zabrak.
"Is to live as those before me could not, and find the balance in this galaxy, no this universe, that none before me could even comprehend. And I will fulfill this purpose alone if I must."
Dash listened as she spoke and, then his mind was bombarded with images transitioning from one to the next before they folded perfectly over the girls frame, Dash listened as she finished her sentence and nodded, then he sat in silence for what would surely seem like days to the young girl, but in reality was a few moments, his face was contemplative. Surely she couldn't know who she reminded the Zabrak of in this moment, but then again Kel'an Skywalker was never far from his thoughts, both his greatest triumph and ultimate failure in one package as a teacher. "You remind me of a young man I once trained." He said at last pausing and sighing deeply. "He too sought to live for those before him, to emulate their greatness and attempt life without the flaws. He at once lived up to his name, a name the galaxy knows, and at the same time, he was no different from his ancestors, a line borne of the Darkside yet triumphed for the light is hard to live up to, it also just as hard to abstain from the shadows plaguing them, he was at once the best of them and the worst of them." He paused again mulling over his next words carefully his violet eyes also stared into the alien sky of Felucia. "Do not forget that even though you live for those that came before, but also to live for yourself and those around you, for to focus on one and neglect the other is a path one should never follow. You say the force lead you to me, perhaps now I can see why, there is a darkness in this galaxy the likes of which has not been seen since before Bane, this plague, the ripple in space time, all stems from a single source, truthfully I am here to find a secluded Jedi Master, and also apparently you, for you see with my brother and his allies gone from this time, or galaxy, I fear perhaps lost forever, we must unite, and fight this terrible evil before what is left of the galaxy falls under their perverse leadership." Dash turned his gaze from the sky to the young woman next to him, so much earnestness and greatness he could sense in her, while also reminding him so much of the young man that had sent him into being a hermit like the masters of old. Dash had always thought himself different from those that came before, but he hardly was, but perhaps there was time yet for him to fulfill a new purpose aside from turning his brother from the depths of the Darkside, even if his brother still used the power of it to fight, at least now it was for the right reasons.

"For I will only fall and rise again. Your venomous heroine I'm a survivor, yeah, I am a fighter."
E`yame turned away from the makeshift target, after having hit the bullseye for the millionth time. She grabbed a towel and wiped the sweat from her forehead. She headed out of her room to the kitchen area. Making her way to the icebox, she grabbed a bottle of water. Popping the cap off it, she took a drink. ”Go to Felucia” her father’s words echoed in her head You will be safe there.” She sat the bottle down and sighed. She didn’t want to safe, she wanted to be in the action. Standing beside her father, proving she had what it took to be there. All he seemed to do is treat her like a child, sending her away. Shaking her head, she lifted the bottle back to her lips and took another swig. The worst part about being here, was the utter boredom. There was nothing to do. It also didn’t help that she locked herself away from everyone.
Slinging the towel around her neck, she walked through the ship and down the ramp, spotting Dash talking to some woman. She sat on the bottom of the ramp, the sun beating down on her. Glancing over at them, her eyebrow rose as she listened to their conversation. As he uttered his last words, she jumped to her feet with a grin and finally spoke up, making her presence known. That was, if they hadn’t already felt her behind them. ”Does that mean we can finally kick some ass?” She was itching to get back in to the action. This waiting around, wondering, it was eating her alive. She had a father to find, then proceed to kick his ass for leaving her behind…..again.
