Who-Adi vs Vastator
Where- Honoghr: Colosseum de L'Ange Tombe
This massive amphitheater, near the Spaceport in Nystao, was built using the plans of ancient builders, found on holocrons uncovered in the Rakatan Temple. The Honoghr government wished to pay tribute to those that had come before them, and by using these designs, they built this structure, using modern construction techniques and materials. The elliptical building is immense, measuring 388m by 356m and reaching a height of more than 60 meters. The Colosseum can accommodate some 550,000 spectators who could enter the building through no less than 80 entrances. Above the ground are six stories.
Below the ground, under the actual arena floor, were rooms with mechanical devices and equipment, to provide for the most interesting combat, or sporting event, possible. The huge amphitheater was built on the site of a hot-spring-fed lake, which gave the ability to flood the lower levels of the actual amphitheater floor, should the games require it.
3-Rules-No guns, no armor....just sabers/swords, and the Force.
It had been an interesting take that had led Darth Vastator and Adiemus Matango to combat in a giant gladiatorial pit.
Quite simply, they'd battled through the streets of Honoghr, somehow ended up both arrested and were now to continue their bout in this arena. It was interesting, if irritating.
Vastator shrugged off his robe, still annoyed and somewhat embarrassed by the lump on the back of his head from where a native had struck him - with a frying pan no less! What was this, some kind of Corellian comedy soap?
Nonetheless, the Sith Lord surveyed the former Jedi Master, and flexed his gloves fingers slightly. It would be fun to renew this battle, but Adi Mango was dangerous. He frowned, deciding on the best way to handle the Jedi.
His mobility, Vastator decided, was his most dangerous trait. But how to counter it without crippling his own abilities? He was far from an endless well of the Force. He could blow one of his legs off - but it would leave him defenceless himself.
Finally he decided to use a trick that would make a minimalist like old Ishmael on Korriban proud.
Gently, he made a series of about two dozen telekinetic spikes, purposefully small to limit the amount of energy he used. He arrayed them in a circle around Adi, at varying heights to make dodging difficult. With a snap of his fingers, he would pincushion Mango and then close in to take his head...
This guy apparently didn't know where he was. Adieumus Matango, former Jedi Watch Lead, and member of the High council was -home-. This planet, this city....this very Colosseum? Matango had been a part of. Honoghr was his home, and the citizens here? They loved him....and he loved -them-. It tore him apart that someone had unleashed a plague upon them...decimating the population. Being a key figure on the planet -did- have its advantages, though....
A well-placed smack from a Noghri frying pan had allowed the Nystao police to capture the rogue darksider now identified as Vastator. Adieumus had requested that he be allowed to continue his fight....in the proper confines, of course.....The Colosseum de L'Ange Tombe....And no one knew this place better than Adi. He knew every crease in the massive amphitheater, and had fought here...trained here...bled here. There was no place else he would rather be. If the interloper won, he could go free. If not? He would be summarily imprisoned, and interrogated.
He watched as Vastator was brought in, and saw the other waste no time. Movements, each of which were closely observed as the man approached, and peaks in the force followed. This guy wanted to make the most of his opportunity, apparently. However...he was trying to go too big, and -far- too early in the fight. Within the first two flicks of Vastator's fingers, Adieumus moved, but not as one might expect. Instead of moving away from the projected energies, Matango flicked the index and middle fingers of his right hand, dangling at his side. He didn't even bother to move it away from his hip, where it had been resting near the black hilt of his lightsaber....he didn't want to waste any motion that wasn't needed. Behind that small flick of two fingers, however, there was more than just a flick...
There was ill-intent...
...there was malice...
...there was anger......
...there were things behind the rapid motion of his two fingers that a Jedi should not feel....but, after the many events that had scarred the Arkanian, he wasn't about to subscribe to the hyper-religious views that the Jedi held. This was why he no longer held to them...they were as bad as the Sith in their righteousness. Yet, he could not abide a darksider trying to stir the pot in an already volatile situation here in Nystao. Adi dipped deep into the one thing he shared with both....
And in that shared moment, there was but the Force.
He projected two very sharp pinpricks of force energy at the intently-concentrating darksider's eyes, almost like two force bullets, intending on sending a very powerful poke directly -through- the other man's eyes....driving them deep into his opponent's very brain, as if he was standing right in front of him. This was projected fighting...One of Adi's most practiced techniques....and he had honed it well. As a Jedi, he had used it only to blind and incapacitate his foes. Now? Matango had learned that eliminating an opponent quickly led to -far- less injuries....
Vastator's eyes opened wide in shock as he realised what was rising towards him - too late to do anything except painfully jerk his head to the side, and twist it slightly in a desperate attempt to stop the pins colliding with his brain.
His left eye was punctured, the pin exiting through the side of his skull rather than his brain. The other pin sliced thinly along the underside of his eye, then pierced through the bridge of his nose. The pain was hideous, and Vastator's breath was ragged.
Only the great surge in his power had stopped him from screaming, the shock forcefully closing his throat to that cowardly sound. He staggered slightly, but then managed to keep his feet, blood pouring down his face. The pain and the rage were delightful - well the rage was anyway. The pain was bloody excruciating.
The pain was awful, but Vastator lashed forwards into an attack. This one required no preparation and it was quick - luckily, his movements were somewhat cloaked by the great surge his emotions had created - and he simply reached out and attempted to grip and crush Matango's testicles.
Seeing how effective the first two poke attacks were, Adi -very- quickly assessed the best route to save his balls the very -instant- there was even the slightest -tickle- of dark energy wrapping around one of the favorite parts of his body. Instead of two fingers this time, Matango decided to up the ante...and use five. Those five fingers sent out the same type of attack as the first two, but this time, the fingers on the Arkanian's right hand were aimed lower...center mass of his raging, and severely injured foe....trying to drive five finger-sized strikes into Vastator's vulnerable inner organs. It was impossible to aim for any specific one, of course...but, there were so MANY in there that did so many things...it really didn't matter which one...or ones...were possibly hit. Any of them would do. If this guy wanted to take Matango's nuts...he was going to hurt for it. A lot. Every ounce of the word 'no' was put into each one of the projected driving fingers. This was what was known as a 'bad touch'...wasn't it? Well, regardless....Adi figured that if Vas was gonna take his balls, he would blast the upstart's heart...or whatever organ might be hit...to jelly.
Blood poured in streams down Vastator's face, and the pain felt as if a bomb was going off in his, crushing, violent agony pulsing through the side of his face.
But he could still think. Just. He had been grasping telekinesis when Matango had punctured his eyeball, so it had been a very fast procedure to change the target. But he could feel something familiar...
He knew what Adi was doing and he violently threw himself to the side, smashing his knee painfully off of the Duracrete.
One of those infernal needles punctured his thigh, nicking the bone, but mercifully missing the artery. Another scored the Rectus Femoris viciously, and Vastator knew it was bad. It would hold for now, but too much would cause it to violently snap apart in a terrible injury.
He desperately clutched at the control over his grip, throwing every inch of his will into maintaining his hold. He used the momentum as he threw himself to the side to wrench, in an attempt to pull Adi off his feet, and to try and crush at least one of his testicles into a gooey mess, something that would more than distract the former Jedi
Damn this guy. Such a pervy type....he just wouldn't get off Adi's nuts.
The Arkanian was yanked off his feet, and he felt his left testicle squish, popping under the pressure of the crush. He had been yanked to the ground, so he didn't even have a chance to collapse from the white-hot pain. Adieumus hit the ground, and roared in pain. This wasn't just a fight anymore...this was now -very- personal.
As he was yanked down, Matango started to throw his fists toward the ground, slamming first his right, then his left, into the duracrete, anger rising higher with each strike. He was down on his hands and knees in extreme pain, however, this wasn't just a temper tantrum. It was a rage-fueled projected attack. Each strike to the ground was Adi attempting to launch projected punches into, and -through- his opponent's body. Sure, it was tearing his hands up with each hit to the duracrete, it would probably bruise like hell, and blood began to roll down his hands, but it just added further to the extreme pain-induced rage that he was already in the midst of. He would continue to throw the punches until either Vastator was dead, or Adi's concentration were broken somehow. They were thrown pretty much at random....a series of punches that just continued one after the other, aimed center mass. Front, back, head or body...the punches were random, and rapid. Technique, and skill were thrown out the window...these punches were meant to hit -very- hard, and finish off the bleeding Sith that was roughly twenty feet from him.
This was just uncalled for. Who -does- this?? Was he that fascinated by testicles that he just didn't want to let go? Or was it something deeper? Family issues from when he was young? Perhaps that was it....it was always something with these darksiders. Either way, Adi had vowed to not stop driving the projected punches into his foe, thrown all around his center mass and head in an attempt to simply pummel Vastator into the duracrete floor he was already on....and turn him into a puddle of blood, guts, and bits of flesh.
This guy wasn't going to jail now....he would die here, and be thrown into the ocean for the gooberfish.
Vastator felt great relief - it had worked. He had finally gotten the upper hand in on of these bloody gladiatorial games played for the amusement of some higher entity. A small part of him could remember other battles, battles where he'd been impaled and blasted. It hadn't been pleasant.
As Adi fell, and his attacks ceased for the tiniest moment, Vastator tightened his grip and suddenly pulled back upwards as Adi's fists came down. The first blow of Adi's hit the Duracrete and exploded past the side of Vastator's head, literally taking his left ear clean off, but the Sith Lord followed through with his attack.
He crushed his hand - and thus the force grip on Adi's testicles - tight and jerked upwards, with an odd sort of twisting motion. The idea was to use Adi's downward momentum, coupled with the upward power of the force and the twisting motion to literally rip Adi's ball straight off.
This guy was like a vornskr with a nerf steak....he just wouldn't get off Adi's nuts....
After the first strike took off the man's left ear, Vastator ripped upward with his hand. It sent Matango back up, and into the air. However, as Adieumus started to descend, instinct took over. He flipped himself around in the air, and came back down feet first. He thrust them down hard, sending the attack through the force as a stomping pair of kicks, projected at the middle of Vastator's back. It would be as if Adi himself were coming down with his feet together on his enemy's lower back, hopefully shattering the man's spine. He regretted it immediately, as it sent shockwaves of pain through his body.
Not even waiting to see how the kicks landed, and still reeling from the pain of the crushed and stretched testicles, Adi again dropped to the ground, growling and glaring at his opponent. It was barely thirty seconds into this fight, and now both competitors were on the ground. It was supposed to be something a bit more light-hearted...but now? Adieumus just wanted this bastard dead.
After catching his breath for a moment, Adi saw that there were no other injuries, other than his mangled balls. He would definitely need the med team to get them fixed up. Vastator on the other hand? He was hurt pretty badly. This pleased Adieumus immensely. Hopefully, if this last attack landed, the darksider would end up still alive, but paralyzed.
...Made it easier to execute him afterward, anyway. And Vastator was most certainly seeing that end today.
Alright lads, welcome aboard. I’ll be your judge this evening. Please remember to keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times until the ride comes to a complete stop. Lets get to it shall we?
First off, I want to thank both of you were utilizing our Battle Arena and ask that both of you all continue to come back to duel friends and foes alike.
I’ll start with Vastator as he made the first post. I admire your creativity in utilization of the Force, but it is highly recommended that duelists write what we call “Build up” prior to using the force. By this, I mean that we need to write our characters building up there power before using it, and I find it hard to accept being able to use a telekinetic attack in your very first post. Just something to be on the lookout for in the future. I also might recommend watching your overall use in the Force. Using it to frequently and too often will cause exhaustion and fatigue, so make sure you are applying that to the duel as well. I definitely see you becoming a great duelist as long as you stick with it and take these constructive comments to heart. Keep up the good work.
Adi, please step forward. Your creativity in your dueling always finds a way to surprise me, as well. Not a lot of comments from me in this one, as everything happened so quick and there’s not a whole lot to go off of.
Without any further adieu, I declare Adi as the winner of this duel. Thank you both again for writing with us and we look forward to your next visit. Please wait until the ride has come to a complete stop before exiting. Enjoy your day here at The Saga Continues!
