The black armored soldier examined the surrounding forest and ignored the farmers who have been eyeing the crew and the ship for a while. He was never fond of forests or very large vegetation in general because normally there would be a vile creature waiting in the shadows ready to pounce on its next meal. This time was different, however, as he felt drawn to a certain entry point to the forest. He had no idea why he was suddenly so eager to enter the forest, but he turned to his squad members in secrecy. "Hey, I'm going to go check out the edge of the forest. I won't be gone for long." He informed them.
"Would you like us to come with you then?" Ridge asked as he dug a hole in the ground.
Drez shook his head in disagreement. "No. If I'm not back by nightfall, you can let the others know where I went." He said as he turned back around to head into the large wall of vegetation.
He quickly slipped into the forest without being detected from any of the foreign crew members and carried on hiking deeper into the forest. It didn't take long for the sunshine to dim beneath the heavy layers of the forest as he continued to venture deep into the vegetation. He heard animal growls all around him so he kept his weapons ready to prepare for the worst. Yet for some reason, he kept on being drawn to something in the forest, and he didn't know what. However, it was as if he was there before. He felt that he was there before even though he knew for a fact he has never been on Felucia before. It was like he was experiencing deja vu.
After at least walking a few thousand feet away from the Wayward Son, he came to a small opening in the forest. This is where he experienced the strongest attraction up till now but he literally didn't find anything when looking around. He circled the area a couple of times before beginning a scan of the area, both above and below the surface. Nothing. The black armored soldier was overwhelmed with confusion and disappointment now that he wasted so much valuable time. Instead of wandering off into the thick vegetation, he could've put his skills to good use and maybe begin searching for a logical explanation for what happened to them. For now everyone settled on being time traveled back to the Clone Wars for what seemed to be no apparent reason.
Drez shook his head and turned around to head back towards the Wayward Son. Suddenly, someone had jumped down from a tree branch above and accurately shot Drez straight in the middle of the chest. He had no time to react, and when the blaster bolt hit his chest he dropped his weapon out of shock. Looking down at his chest with immense pain, he saw smoke coming out of him. He kept on standing for a few seconds, staring at the person that had just shot him, before his weight caused him to fall hard on his back. He couldn't control his limbs as if he was paralyzed and the only thing he could control was his head and eyes, but even that didn't last long. Darkness began to grow in his vision and fear began to engulf him for the first time. He didn't want to die alone, not like this, not in the middle of nowhere. He had always envisioned himself going out in a heroic way alongside those he cared about. With every passing second, his vision continued to falter as clouded figure wearing pitch black leaning in over him.
"Don't worry. You will survive. What is going to happen soon is bigger than any of us, and I need your help." The figure said. The voice was familiar, extremely familiar, but it wasn't any of the crew members. The figure then injected Drez straight in the neck with a sedative that knocked him out.
"Your history does fail you, unless it was recorded differently." Kano replied to the tall Zabrak. "I was here myself during the First Battle of Felucia. We were trying to capture this piece of crap of a planet to secure the Perlemian Trade Route for the Republic. This was an already established Seppies' planet at the beginning of the war." Kano said as he crossed his arms feeling a sense of accomplishment.
The other troopers grinned at Kano's response as got their equipment ready to be taken off of the shuttle. "Are we going to take shelter outside the ship or inside?" Izmar asked as he grabbed a mine out of one of their crates. He was planning on setting up a 'safe zone' around the shuttle to keep foreigners away as well as to alert any of their own that they had wondered off too far from the ship.
"I prefer inside because I don't feel like becoming an acklay's evening snack." Drez replied as he tossed a rod over to Izmar.
Drez stepped out of the shuttle and looked around. Because of the abundant amount of spore plants around, he immediately knew that the planet they were on was Felucia, whether it was mentioned or not. It wasn't the only way he knew, however, as he had been here during the Clone Wars before on a stealth mission. "Hey guys, better watch out for the all the wildlife around here, otherwise you'd be another afternoon snack. Sarlaacs, rancors, acklays, even plants could devour you." He scanned the area for any heat signatures other than themselves but the readings were negative. He then turned to the so called allies he has now. "We have to find the Nysilin plant, because where there's Nyslin, there are farmers and villages." He said as he brought up a holo image of the plant he had mentioned. "Now I've been here before. This is a Separatist occupied planet. So battle droids might close in on our position soon."
After the junker ship was able to get its engines back on, the Wayward Son was able to get airborne in the midst of battle and depart the dusty planet of Geonosis. Using what was left of the fuel, the group found themselves heading towards another Outer Rim planet: the CIS occupied jungle planet of Felucia.
Drez and his squad of clone troopers retreated to the junker ship they had recently crashed landed with, firing their weapons behind them as they went. As they entered the Wayward Son, each trooper hoped that the ship can at least make it off the planet and not crash land again. They quickly made their way to the passenger hold and immediately strapped themselves in, though they had their jetpacks fully charged and ready for a quick escape if needed.
"Hey, I'm just saying. If this junker loses power and we are about to crash land, we're jumping out." Drez said loud enough to whoever was supposed to be piloting the shuttle to make sure everyone heard. He knew he was going to piss off somebody with that, which he was fine with. Sometimes, having some banter on the battlefield can take some of the edge and tension off.
The current wave of battle droids' numbers were dwindling, though it was no reason to let up off the trigger. This was the First Battle of Geonosis after all. There were at least 1 million battle droids in the battle, not to mention they were only facing a few hundred of those few million droids. Reinforcements were bound to be on their way to the current position sooner rather than later. The question is: Will the ship be up and running before the reinforcements arrive or will Drez have to hijack a ship to get off the planet?
Thinking of that idea, Drez actually enjoyed hijacking ships. They were never going to be considered his anyways, so he didn't care if he crash landed or wrecked a hijacked ship, as long as it served the required purpose. Though to his knowledge, most of the ships belonging to the CIS weren't viable for human transport, but rather viable for mostly transporting droids. The ships that could transport them though would be deep behind enemy lines, mostly where battle commanders would be.
However, another idea popped up into his head. They could stowaway onto one of the Republic's Venator cruisers, since he knew that the Venators would travel to Coruscant right after Geonosis to present the new Clone Army to the Galactic Senate and Chancellor Palpatine.
"Look guys, we have two options if that junker doesn't get running. A: We could hijack a separatist shuttle or B: we could hitchhike on a Republic cruiser." Drez said through his commslink, relaying the message to his squad, Dogma's squad, and any of the other Force users with commslinks who happened to be on the Wayward Son.
Drez and his fellow clone troopers continued to rain down laser bolts onto the oncoming waves of battle droids. Dropping them was so easy they almost forgot how stupid battle droids are and how bad their aim could be. However, they were well aware that even the stupidest of droids could get a lucky shot on any one of them. For that reason, they weren't too keen on leaving their strategic locations unless the droids were able to flank around.
Ridge tossed a thermal detonator as far as he could into the waves of droids to eliminate as many droids as he can. A few seconds later, the thermal detonator exploded and eliminated at least 6 droids around it. It was a joy for them to watch the droids fly off to their destruction. Unfortunately for them, the droids behind the front line began targeting the troopers. "Ah blast it!" Ridge shouted as he hid behind a boulder, sparks flying around him from the laser bolts hitting the cover.
Many droids had began focusing their fire on the area the group had been camping at, so Izmar switched his blaster to the anti-armor grenade launcher mode by attaching the necessary attachments and fired a grenade below. When the grenade hit the ground, the blast radius was unusually big that it immediately took out a dozen battle droids. "Hah! Can't stop loving this weapon." Izmar commented as he loaded another grenade into the attachment.
"Watch out for that Jedi though. We don't want to accidentally take him out too." Ghost said as he reloaded his blaster. They had noticed the Cerean Jedi making his way to the AAT, obviously targeting it.
"Scanners are indicating that the shield is still up on that tank." Kano informed them, as he took a few shots at the tank just to make sure.
With his quick thinking, Drez pulled out an EMP grenade and a grappling hook. "Hold on, I think I got an idea." He said as he left his cover to be closer to the AAT, dodging laser bolts as he dove behind other cover yards away. He attached the grappling hook to his rifle and tied a small piece around the EMP grenade. He knew he was going to have to be quick if he was going to successfully pull this off as some droids were firing at his location. He took a deep breath then swiftly rose out of cover, activated the EMP grenade, and shot the grappling hook at the AAT. He steadied the rifle as the the grappling hook made its way to the AAT, which was literally less than three seconds. Upon sticking to the hull of the AAT, the EMP detonated on impact, eliminating the AAT's shield effectively immediately. YES! Drez thought as he swiftly dove back down to cover, hoping the grenade didn't affect the Cerean Jedi as he had noticed the Jedi standing right in front of the AAT when he shot the grappling hook.

Drez watched as the battle droids marched in on their position. He knew his squad would definitely take a kick out of this and called them down from the shuttle through his commslink. "Squad. Arm yourselves and get down here. You're about to have some fun!" He grinned as he shut off the comms channel.
The black armored soldier watched as some of the other allies rushed straight into battle so he shook his head. He didn't want to come across any of the Jedi Order's knights or masters since he probably wouldn't help himself from revealing the truth behind the Chancellor, even though he firmly knew what the consequences could be.
Drez then loaded his rifle and took position over a small cliff and took cover behind some orange boulders. He was going to play this battle cautiously as he didn't want to die on Geonosis. Sure, he was reckless in battle, but he knew when to keep his head down. Plus, he was still shaking off the rustiness of the stasis. Without wasting any more time, he began firing down at the battle droids, dropping 4 of them immediately.
The clones exited the shuttle and we're stunned by what they were seeing. They couldn't believe what was happening around them. Were they really on Geonosis during the Clone Wars or is this just a dream?
"Hey! Stop dreaming and start blasting or we're all dead!" Drez shouted over the commslink. The clones started scrambling around frantically trying to take a good position while getting their weapons ready as Drez continued talking. "I think what happened was that we were reported back to Geonosis by somebody. How though, I can't answer that. Just focus and try to keep the droids off this shuttle so that we can get off this dust bowl alive."
Most of the clones were still lost in thoughts and couldn't talk, though they were still able to respond to Drez's commands. Flak and Wooley, however, rushed over to an injured Adi to provide cover for him. "We're just here to keep you alive through this." Flak said as he took cover behind a boulder and fired at oncoming droids. Wooley deployed a mini shield over the 3 of them for the time being until the threat is repulsed.
All of the troopers knew that droids never give up because they aren't programmed to do so. They won't retreat either so the only option would to junk each and every one of them.
After the ship's crash landing came to a halt, Drez got up off the ground and dusted the Geonosian sand off his armor. He looked over at the other clone troopers and made sure they were alright, still swaying a bit from the slight nauseasness he experienced. While he didn't really care that much, he felt that he had to check on the other people who had boarded the ship.
Drez gathered his equipment and weapons that were displaced in the crash and adjusted a couple of armor plates. After that, he began walking up and down the ship looking to see if any other members survived the crash, which he eventually confirmed on his way out.
"No casualties. Another happy landing." Drez said to himself as he descended the ship's ramp and set foot on Geonosis again, for the third time. He looked down at the sand while rubbing his foot in it, gaining a feel for the planet's surface.
"Alright, it seems that we're back in Clone Wars era Geonosis." Drez started, sounding very calm and composed. "Now obviously there are going to be battle droids closing down on our position soon because of the crash's location. I suggest we abandon the shuttle for now and hijack a ship with a functional hyperdrive." Drez finished, not really directing his talk to anyone specific, but rather everyone who was present outside.
Kano, Lex, and Izmar were around the other 4 clones who had just regained their consciousness from stasis. Despite now being fully aware of their surroundings, they were in no condition for intense physical movement. Their bodies were still mostly stiff and weren't entirely synchronized yet. The battle-ready clones helped begin the process of nursing the rest of the clones back to health. After all, they were still considered brothers.
Meanwhile, Drez was standing in the doorway of the cockpit, ignoring all the chat around him. He felt great darkness engulf the entire ship, and it wasn't the darkness of space, but rather an evil darkness. He began feeling cold and uncomfortable, and immediately knew something bad would happen. He examined the small area he could see in front of him from the cockpit and noticed a small round hole increasing in size exponentially with every passing second. It kept on growing larger and larger and Drez was immediately able to make out what was happening. It was a portal to the Battle of Geonosis, the first battle of the Clone Wars.
Drez quickly turned around to face his squadmates. "Brace yourselves now!" He hollered as he lost balance when the ship violently rocked and fell flat on his face.
Geonosis was a hot, dry, desert planet in the outer rim and was home to the semi-insectoid species of Geonosians. The First Battle of Geonosis marked the beginning of the Clone Wars. The clone troopers, bred and trained on the oceanic planet of Kamino, were deployed for the first time into battle and fought against the Confederacy of Independent Systems' poorly programmed battle droids.
Dogma's squad helped the clones unload the recovering clones off the train while the commando droids unloaded the supply crates. While they had escaped the RDMC with their lives, he knew that the enemy would catch up to them soon, so there wasn't a second to waste.
Drez looked over at the clone who had asked for his help and nodded his head in acknowledgement. "Yeah, I'll get some defensive positions up in no time." He replied as he pressed a button on his arm. With this command, a few of the commando droids made their way towards Drez. "I need you to get some defensive positions up with whatever you could find; crates, ships, tanks, debris, anything."
The commando droids acknowledged the order and proceeded to carry out the task immediately.
"Hey, where should we move these clones to?" Lex asked.
"Any idea which ship we're taking off this hellhole?" Kano muttered. He just wanted to get away from Honoghr and have a few weeks of peace.
Drez looked around and evaluated the ships currently present at the extraction point. After making a decision, he pointed at the Wayward Son. "Put them in that one over there."
"Well it seems our gamble to take the lift paid off." Kano remarked. He was just happy to not die at the hands of some weird creature.
The troopers examined the train. While it was sufficient enough to get away from the demolishing RDMC, they had expected a ship to take them off the planet immediately. However, since this was not the case, they hoped that the train's final destination would get them off the planet. Drez ordered the commando droids to load the crates and the recovering clones onto the train quickly.
"I thought that we were going to board a shuttle or something." Lex muttered under his breath in disappointment.
"So where will this train be taking us?" Drez asked the clone trooper who had addressed them while the other 3 clones helped the droids load their cargo onto the train.
